Gary Friedberg Obituary
August 12, 1954 – September 26, 2025
Gary Phillip Friedberg, 71, of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, after living with the challenges of Parkinson's disease.
Gary was an avid Ohio State football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Beyond sports, he carried a quieter talent-he secretly knew how to play the piano, a gift that surprised and delighted those who were lucky enough to hear him play.
Gary is survived by his partner, Georgette Bly; his children, Michael (Lauren), Christina (Brian Filler), and Carolyn Horton (Joshua); his grandchildren, Samantha, Bennett, Madeline, Charlie, Nora, Parker, and Colin; his brother, Howard Michaels; nieces, Lauren and Lisa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Mardelle (Levin) Friedberg; and his brother, Stephen.
A private family remembrance will be held to honor his life.
