Gary Lavern Gindlesberger was born October 5, 1937 to George Curtis Gindlesberger and Thelma Lillian (Lurance) Gindlesberger in Ulysses, Kansas. After graduating high school in Ulysses, he attended both community college and Pitt State University in Pittsburg, KS. During his school years, he excelled not only in academics but also in sports such as basketball and track and field.
On September 2, 1957, Gary married the love of his life, Carol at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas. They were blessed with five sons, Kip, Ronnie, Kary, Michael and Ricky. Gary loved being a husband to Carol and dad to his children, and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gary's career was in the petroleum industry. He started as a driver and retired a sales engineer with Dowell Schlumberger.
Gary was a man of faith. He and Carol were parishioners of the Catholic Church in Ulysses before moving to Branson where they worshipped at Our Lady of the Lake.
Gary was always active and enjoyed being with friends and family. The outdoors was one of his favorite places and he loved golfing, fishing and hunting rabbits and pheasant.
Gary passed into eternity on Friday, April 5, 2024 at his home at the age of 86. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Gindlesberger of Branson; sons, Michael Gindlesberger & wife Linda of Arkansas and Ricky Gindlesberger & wife Darla of Illinois; grandchildren, Jared Gindlesberger, Mathew Gindlesberger, David Gindlesberger, Amy Cluck & husband Chris, Kaylie Brown, Jessica Lewis, Casey Gindlesberger, Jena Groves & husband Cody, Jaimie Gindlesberger, Morgan Gindlesberger, Trevor Gindlesberger and Abigail Gindlesberger; great-grandchildren, Denae, Emma, Audra, Jake, Liam, Elle, Aubri, Remi, Theia, Maelin and Nash.
