Ronald Jensen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory - Branson on Oct. 15, 2025.
Ronald Keith Jensen of Branson, Missouri died October 12, 2025 at his home at the age of 87. He was born April 18, 1938 in Harlan, Iowa, the son of Homer and Mary (Hazard) Jensen.
He graduated from Harlan High School in 1957. He then enlisted in the Army serving from 1958 to 1962. He married Kathy Eggert on October 8, 1958 in Harlan, Iowa at the home of her parents.
After being discharged from the Army, Ron and Kathy settled in Iowa. He then began working for IBP as a supervisor until his retirement in 1997 at which time they moved to Branson.
He was an avid Nascar fan making yearly trips to Michigan to watch the races. He loved the local stock car races as well taking the family along. Being very athletic himself, he enjoyed football, especially the Iowa State team and going to their games. He also enjoyed being a part of several bowling leagues. Going on summer family vacations was always an adventure, with very fond memories being made. Playing cards with family and friends was a favorite pastime. He took pride in making sure his yard was pristine and feeding and watching the birds brought him joy. He was well known as being a teaser with that ornery grin. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 13, 2013 and loved attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in the congregation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 older sisters, Evelyn, Elinor and Francie.
He was survived by his loving wife, Kathy of 66 years of Branson, their 5 children: Deb (Rex) Ransom of Branson West, MO, Mark (Lori) Jensen of Glenwood, IA, Darcy (Leonard) Gross of Kirbyville, MO, Karen (Keith) Kehl of Reeds Spring, MO, Melissa (Brent) Blankenship of Columbia, MO. His 11 grandchildren: Derek (Melanie), Tim (Alexis), Nate, Brittany (Chris), Ryan (Alli), Matt (Mallarie), Steve, Steph (Bill), Maureen (Jason), Liam and Fiona. His 14 great grandchildren: Tyler (ShyAnne), Lexie (Ethan), Kylie (Dylan), Addy, Trinity, Ryker, Aspen, Harper, Jeyden, Miley, Kendall, Evelyn, Thomas, Blake. His 2 great great grandchildren, Kasen and Oliver.
A memorial will be held at a later date. A special thanks to St. Croix Hospice for their loving and caring support in his last days.
