Gary L. Gingerich, 80, entered into rest Tuesday April 5, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Madeline M. (Gangloff) Gingerich for 60 years.
A visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Mary's Church 309 South George Street. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. John Kuchinski as celebrant. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., West York, is assisting with the arrangements.
Mr. Gingerich was born March 1, 1942 in York, a son of the late Anna Mae (Gingerich) Schweitzer. Gary graduated from York High School in 1960. In 1959 he met Maddy Gangloff, and they wed in 1961, going on to have 4 children. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Knights of St. Paul.
After a career in sales, he went on to pursue his love of gardening and landscaping. This can be seen around his own home everywhere you look.
Gary is survived by his wife; children Theresa Gingerich Divet and her husband Gary, Gregory Gingerich and his wife Cindy, Jennifer Gingerich Miller, Christopher Gingerich and his wife Melissa; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters Jay Schweitzer, Carol Schweitzer Stone and her husband Clay, Rebecca Schweitzer; sister-in-law Peggy Schweitzer; nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by brothers Raymond, Jeffrey, Donald, and Bruce Schweitzer.

Following the interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life luncheon at St. Mary's Social Hall.
