Uxbridge- Gary Arthur Graveson, 68, of Union St., passed away on February 25, 2025 at Milford Hospital after being stricken ill.
He is survived by his siblings Edward "Butch" Graveson of Port Lavaca, TX, Harold Graveson and his wife Gail of S. Grafton, Robin Martin and her husband Jim of Uxbridge, Dennis L. Graveson of Uxbridge, Beverly M. Graveson also of Uxbridge, and Rebecca "Becky" Therrien and her husband Bob of Blackstone. He also leaves his sister-in-law Virginia Graveson, many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; 2 great-great-nephews, as well as many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Graveson in 2016.
Born in Milford on October 19, 1956, he was the son of Edward and Cecelia (Daige) Graveson and was raised in Uxbridge. He was educated from the Uxbridge public school system and Blackstone Valley Regional Tech High School. Gary started his career working for Koopmans in Uxbridge, then worked for many years as a machine operator for Renault Machine and Tool in town and later became a plumber working for David Gravison Plumbing and Heating for several years.
Gary enjoyed visiting the Hopedale Senior Center where he played bingo on Mondays, playing cribbage in local tournaments, fishing, hiking and spending time with his family and friends. He was a kind man, with great sarcastic humor. He was a man of faith and a parishioner of St. Mary Parish in Uxbridge.
His calling hours will be held in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home on Friday, February 28 from 4-6 PM. His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 11 AM in St. Mary Parish, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Hopedale Senior Center, 43 Hope St., Hopedale, MA 01747.
