Gary A. "Bambi" Guilbault

Gary A. "Bambi" Guilbault, 69, of Blackstone, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, October 21, 2024. Born on February 17, 1955, in Woonsocket, he was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
Bambi, as he was affectionately known by friends and family, shared 48 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Trudy A. (Richardson) Guilbault. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter. His legacy is carried on by his cherished children, April L. "Abby" Guilbault of Blackstone and Maurice J. "Moe" Guilbault, along with his companion Molly Martin of Uxbridge. Bambi's life was further enriched by his adoring grandchildren, Leila and Lydia, who brought him immense joy and pride.
The son of the late Maurice J. Guilbault and Regina (Filipponi) Riendeau and her husband Roger of Bellingham, Bambi was one of seven siblings. He is survived by Gail Wholley of Woonsocket, Christine Fontaine and her husband Robert of Coventry, RI, Marc Guilbault of GA, Deborah Guilbault of Fall River, Kenny Guilbault of Lincoln, RI and Jeff Guilbault of Warwick, RI. His brother, Guy Guilbault, predeceased him. His extended family also includes many nieces and nephews.
Bambi had driven truck for Garelick Farms for 11 years and had previously worked at A. Arena & Sons in Hopkinton. His work ethic and commitment to his job were evident to all who worked alongside him.
His interests were as humble and down-to-earth as he was. Bambi was a man who found great solace in the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for farming, a testament to his deep connection with the land and its creatures. He loved his hobby farm and his fondness for animals was well-known, and he could often be found tending to the needs of his farm friends with care and compassion. Bambi's passion for the outdoors was not limited to his farm; he occasionally enjoyed watching moose up North, delighting in the majesty and grandeur of these gentle giants.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4-7 PM at Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main Street, Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
A prayer service will be offered in the funeral home at 6:45 PM on Friday evening.
