Gary G. Hill, age 88, passed away on August 9, 2025 in Everett, Washington.
He was born on February 11, 1937, the only child of Hobart W. and Marie Hill.
He attended St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Seattle and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He assumed control of his father's company H.W. Hill S. Company specializing in repair and maintenance of boiler heating systems.Gary was a master electrician, he held 2 patents for heat exchangers was adept at repair of marine propulsion systems and assisted at the University of Washington Boat Mart. He was chief engineer for the retired mine sweeper "Redoubt" that assisted in the clean-up of the Exxon Valdez oil spill on March 24, 1989. He was a member of the Octogenarians Pilots and Washington Pilots Associations. Gary arranged speaker programs for the Washington Pilots meetings, managed flights for kids at their fly-ins and he served as a navigator/engineer for the transport flight of a B-17 to England for the production of the movie "Memphis Bell" in June 2024.
Gary is survived by his cousins Elizabeth S. Luthy (Thomas) and John R. Sweet (Rosemary).

Gary was a dear family friend of the Hoss family. Al Hoss and Gary went to high school together. Gary would come to my parents house ( Larry and Jani Hoss) for Christmas Eve yearly growing up with cheese cake in tow! Always enjoyed seeing Gary he often stopped by our shop and told stories!
