Gary Walter Hoehler Sr., a devoted father, grandfather, and partner, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on December 18, 1949, in New Jersey, Gary grew up in South Plainfield, NJ, before settling in Parsonsburg, Maryland, where he made his home for many years.
Gary was a loving and proud family man who took great joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow and thrive. He shared a deep bond with his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He especially loved when everyone could be all together for dinners & cookouts to play fun games together. Whether it was wiffle ball, corn hole, charades, or any of the many board games his family played together Gary enjoyed every second of his time with his family!
Gary's heart was always driven to help others with a kind & compassionate spirit. He also loved & cared for animals, particularly cats, and they were always drawn to him as well. Gary's curiosity for life and his love of technology kept him energized, and he was always excited about learning something new or finding innovative ways to support those around him with the latest gadgetry. Gary's enthusiasm, generosity, and thoughtful nature left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his loving partner of over 30 years, Linda Cindrich; his children, his son Gary Hoehler Jr. & his beloved wife Kimberly and his daughter Dawn Bell & her loving husband Steven and his amazing grandchildren, Kristin Hoehler and Gary Hoehler III. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Hoehler.
A visitation will be held on January 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Holloway Funeral Home - Chapel, with a funeral ceremony following at 2:00 PM. Gary will be laid to rest in Hebron, MD, at 3:30 PM.
As we say goodbye, let us celebrate Gary's loving spirit, his dedication to his family, and his unwavering commitment to helping others. He will be deeply missed but will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
