Gary Lynn Humphrey, Sr., born on January 1, 1946, to Nona Mae and W.A. Humphrey, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2025.
A devoted husband, loving father, and faithful servant of the Lord, Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Humphrey; his children, Gary Humphrey Jr. and Krystle Dotson (Adam); and special children he cherished as grandchildren, Trista, Abby, and Savanna. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Lance; his sister-in-law, Peggy Goodwin (Gerald), Royce (Diania) Poss, and Michael (Karyl) Poss. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brothers, Johnny Humphrey, Carroll Humphrey, and Dwight Humphrey.
A true family man, Gary found deep joy in caring for and providing for those he loved. His life was marked by unwavering faith and a strong dedication to his ministry. He served as pastor of Plainview Freewill Baptist Church for many years before retiring, always cherishing the opportunity to lead others in faith.
Gary's legacy of love, service, and devotion will live in the hearts of all who knew him.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on April 24, 2025, at Plainview Freewill Baptist Cemetery in Cassville community. Lifelong friend Charles Curtiss will officiate.
