Obituary
Gary Wayne Krambeck, 81, passed away 30 June 2022 at his home in Denver, Colorado.
Gary was born on June 7, 1941 as the eldest son of John Nicholas Krambeck and Zuera Ellen (Hamm) Krambeck of Moline, Illinois.
Gary graduated from Moline High School in 1959 and joined the United States Air Force in 1962. He served as a weather observer and assisted in the preparation of forecasts for flight missions. He left the Air Force after 4 years in 1966.
In 1968 Gary joined the Buddy L Corporation in Moline, IL where they manufactured steel toy cars and trucks. In 1969 the Buddy L toy factory relocated from Moline to Neosho, MO. Gary was one of the few employees to relocate from Moline to Neosho and was instrumental in setting up the manufacturing process in the new factory. Buddy L eventually became Sunbeam Outdoor Products. While working at Sunbeam Gary worked in many different departments, but most notably created the product service division and created the call center. What started as Gary and one other person grew to over 150 people.
He was a resident of Neosho, Missouri for 30 years. In August of 1970 he married Barbara Kay (Mulkey) Krambeck and raised 2 children. He served the community as a Boy Scout troop leader, was a member of the Kiwanis Club, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, and Calvary Baptist Church.
Gary and Barbara relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1999 to be near their grandchildren. Gary worked at RTD before retiring and enjoying the Windsor Gardens gardening and lapidary clubs.
His interests included cars, history, road-trips, swimming, fishing, camping and being outdoors in general.
Gary is survived by a son Rick Kerr (Lori) of Denver, CO; and daughter Jill Krambeck of Sydney, Australia, three grandchildren, Madeline, Daniel, and Bradley Kerr. Also surviving is Gary's sibling Timothy Krambeck of Muscatine, Iowa. Gary was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in August of 2015, and his parents.
A private inurnment will be on July 13 at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
