He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Melinda "Mindy" York Labay of El Campo; daughter, Brittany Bell (Eric) of San Antonio; sons, Brent Labay (Dory) of Garwood, Brandon Labay (Rose) of El Campo and Brion Labay (Catherine) of Richmond; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Bruce Labay (Evelyn) of El Campo, Wade Labay (Pamela) of El Campo, Dirk Labay of Louise and Jedd Labay (Gena) of El Campo.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Glenn Labay.
Visitation will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 4 at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 5 at Grace Point Community Church with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brent Labay, Brandon Labay, Brion Labay, Eric Bell, Camron Labay and Barrett Bell.
Memorial donations in memory of Gary may be made to Grace Point Community Church.
