Gary Wayne Manley 1941 – 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Manley, who departed this life on November 2, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on September 28, 1941, in Carmi, Illinois, he was the beloved son of Ray Floyd Manley and Cecil Lois Johnson.
Gary was a man of integrity, patience, strength, kindness, and compassion-always willing to help anyone, anytime, with anything. He had a witty sense of humor and lived a life full of love and devotion to his family. He will be fondly remembered for his talent in sketching, his love of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and old cars, and his joy in taking drives with a Big Gulp in hand.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Joyce, for over 50 years, and a loving father to his children, Dustin and Summer, and son-in-law, Kyle. His deep love for his family was evident in his endless patience; no one can recall him ever losing his temper. Gary cherished his role as a grandfather to Hailie, Hunter, Hayden, and Halston, and found immense joy in his great-grandchildren: Tucker, Kambree, Marleigh, Zahrea, Jaylynn, Madden, Osiris, Odysseus, Maverick, and Jordyn.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for two years and later worked in many professions before retiring from Tinker Air Force Base.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, wife, son, and daughter. He is survived by his sisters, Sherry Daniels, Dedra Hargis, Janice Thomas, and Linda Bragg, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on November 8th at 10:00 am at John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home in Moore, OK. Gary will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
