Gary L. Mayhugh, age 74, of Shady Grove, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 21, 1950, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Mary E. Rice Mayhugh and the late Robert. L. Mayhugh.

Mr. Mayhugh was a 1969 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army. He worked at the former Grove Worldwide for 33 years before retiring. In retirement he worked for the Volvo Company in Shippensburg for 3 years, retiring in 2015. He was a member of the Greencastle American Legion. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing, golf, hiking, welding, gardening, and cooking.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Keith O. Mayhugh (wife Lisa Nogle) of Georgetown, MA, Brad L. Mayhugh of Hagerstown, MD, two grandchildren, Hayden and Christian Mayhugh; and three siblings, Kenny Mayhugh (wife Sue) of Greencastle, PA, Tony Mayhugh (wife Sue) of Williamsport, MD, and Sandy Breese; and numerous nieces and nephews

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 7 PM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225, where Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 6 - 7 PM in the funeral home.
