Benson, NC: Mr. Gary Shelton Moore, age 70, of S. Johnson Street died Monday, May 17, 2021 at Wake Medical Center in Cary. A Memorial Service will be 6:00PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Leon Tart and Dr. Lawrence Powers.
Mr. Moore was born on September 19, 1950 in Harnett County to the late Shelton Britt and Eloise McLamb Moore. He was a musician and a member of Benson Baptist Church.
Surviving is his brother, Dennis G. Moore and wife, Kimberly of Benson; niece, Krystal Moore Gregory and husband, John of Raleigh; nephew, Matthew Britt Moore and wife, Dr. Morgan Moore of Benson; great-nephew, John Ross Gregory, Jr.
In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Benson Baptist Church P.O. Box 323 Benson, NC 27504.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
