Gary Morse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home on May 3, 2025.
NORTH ATTLEBORO – Gary Morse, 84, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 28, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy E. (Dargis) Morse, who passed in 2006.
Born in Weymouth, MA on November 15, 1940, he was a loving son of the late Edward J. Morse and Dorothy (Getz) Morse. Gary grew up in Foxboro and at just 17 years old joined the Local 4 International Union of Operating Engineers, with which he maintained proud membership for 67 years.
A hardworking man with a tireless work ethic, Gary took great pride in his trade and his union. Over the years, he contributed to many major construction projects in Boston, including the Prudential Center and the Big Dig. He was a lifelong member of the North Attleboro Elks and an avid motocross enthusiast, having been active with the New England Sports Committee.
Gary enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time at his home in Florida. He had a deep respect for military service and was a staunch supporter of veterans, a commitment rooted in the loss of his brother Edward, who was killed in action as a prisoner of war during the Korean War. Above all, Gary was devoted to his family and cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was especially proud of his home and yard, always keeping them in pristine condition.
He is survived by his loving children: Gary Morse of North Attleboro; Keith Morse and his wife Kerri of North Attleboro; Deborah Pepi and her husband Craig of Northport, FL; and Edward Morse of North Attleboro.
He leaves his cherished grandchildren: Amanda Pepi of Washington State; Troy Morse of Attleboro; Collin Morse of North Attleboro; Nicholas Morse of North Attleboro; and Caitlin Morse of Attleboro; and his great-grandchildren: Annabelle Pepi and Savannah Pepi of Northport, FL.
He is also survived by his former daughters-in-law Kelly Morse of Attleboro and Bonnie Morse of Rehoboth; his siblings: Michael Morse of Avon Park, FL; Perry Morse of Seekonk; and Karen Disjardin Sealy of Rochester, NH; and was the brother of the late Dolores, Edward, Dotty, Billy, Patty, Shirley, Gail, Carol, and Cynthia.
A private service and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home, North Attleboro, MA.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Gary's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or online at support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
