Gary E. O'Nan

Gary E. O'Nan, age 84, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Henderson, KY, passed away at 2:06 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at West River Nursing in Evansville, IN.
Gary was a hard-working man. He ran the Eastwood Ferry in the late 1960s. He retired at 75 years old after decades of work as a driller in the oil fields. He loved his work and being outdoors. Gary enjoyed tinkering with cars, lawnmowers, and anything he could get his hands on.
In addition to his parents, Oscar and Ruth O'Nan, Gary was preceded in death by his 1st wife Dottie O'Nan Scott; 2nd wife Bea O'Nan; and siblings: Tom O'Nan, Lillian O'Nan, Greg O'Nan, and Randy "Tracy" O'Nan.
Gary is survived by his daughter Debra N. Ford of Evansville, IN; son Keith E. O'Nan of Sebree, KY; step daughters Beverly Sneed (Tony) of Reed, KY and Lee Walters (Keith) of Henderson, KY; brothers: Troy O'Nan (Dawn) of Evansville, IN, Steve O'Nan (Gialene) of Henderson, KY, Benjie O'Nan (Judy) of Robards, KY, and Ozzy O'Nan (Cathy) of Sebree, KY; grandchildren: Ryan O'Nan (Danielle), Tabitha O'Nan, Nick Courtney (Cody), Courtnee Sierra (Shane), Coral Straub, and Cruz Straub; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Gary's Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday and again on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the funeral home with Reverend Thorton Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Waverly, KY.
