It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Ray Price, a resident of Grand Ledge, Michigan, who departed this life on August 23, 2025, at the age of 76. Gary was born on August 6, 1949, in Beaverton, Michigan, to the late Delmar A. and Katherine B. (Thomas) Price. He was a graduate of Eastern High School, Class of 1967, and later obtained an Associate's Degree from Lansing Community College. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he distinguished himself as a Bronze Star recipient. Following his military service, he dedicated thirty years to a fulfilling career at Fisher-Body, contributing significantly to the automotive manufacturing industry. In addition to his career, Gary was an esteemed member of the Memorial Honor Guard Cole-Briggs Post 48 in Grand Ledge for fifteen years. He is survived by his wife of over fifty-three years, Mary (Winegardner) Price; his son, Benjamin Price, his daughter, Margaret Rinehart; his brother James Price and his sisters, Patricia Reynolds and Elaine Denniston; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Ayana Price, Thayer Price, and Gabrielle Rinehart. Gary's warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Graveside military honors will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, Michigan 49012. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gary's memory to the Memorial Honor Guard, Cole-Briggs Post 48, 731 N. Clinton Street, Grand Ledge, Michigan 48837. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him. Arrangements by the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Share your memories and condolences online at holihanatkin.com
