Gary Pritchett, of Lizella, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. The family would like to extend an invitation to his Celebration of Life, on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 6:00 PM at The Society Garden; 2389 Ingleside Ave, Macon, GA 31204.
Gary was born in Macon, Georgia on March 20, 1957, to the late Mr. James Wesley Pritchett and Mrs. Elizabeth Payne Pritchett. Gary was a musician whose presence in the world was as bright as the music he played. A man of deep Christian faith, he carried a servant's heart, always ready to lend a hand or give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a unique gift of making friends wherever he went, never meeting a stranger, and his warmth and kindness were felt by all who crossed his path. As a skilled guitarist, Gary was a true lover of music, playing in numerous bands and bringing a special energy to every stage he graced. His ability to light up any room was matched only by his infectious smile and laughter, which seemed to put everyone at ease. A natural storyteller and jokester, Gary had a way of making those around him feel seen, heard, and valued. His spirit lives on through the music and memories he shared with so many.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving dogs, Willow, Marley and Mylo; who passed onto heaven with him.
Left to cherish his memory and carry on with the music he left them are his children, Ryan (Dawn) Pritchett, Joseph Palmer, Calida Stateham (Cliff), Holly Palmer, and Shalani Ayers; sisters, Debra (Eric) Vandergriff and Nancy (Bruce) Pritchett-Lund; grandchildren, Kristen (Josh), Linsey, Ryland (Kenzie), Addison, Damien, Dillon, Daxson, Lilly, Zane, Christian, Destiny, Aiden, Harden, Kai, Rebecca, Ryleigh, Kyran; great grandchildren, August and Camryn; and a host of loving musician friends that he considered family.
