Gary Wayne Robertson, 76 years, 9 months, and 25 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on June 20, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
Gary was born August 25, 1946 in Almartha, MO to "Shorty" and Dottie (Henley) Robertson.
Gary attended many country schools and graduated from Ava High School, class of 1964.
He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam with his four brothers. He returned home and trained as an electronic technician. Gary was an instructor and supervisor at Zenith in Springfield. He then returned to Ava and Co-owned the Ava T.V. Clinic. Eventually he became a service tech at Sears.
On September 1, 1972 Gary and Regina Irby were united in marriage at Highway Church of the Nazarene. Together they were blessed with twins, Christina and Jason on August 4, 1974.
Gary loved his wife and children. He was a wonderful husband, father and a proud "Papa" of Chandler Roberts (Kelsey), Joplin, MO; Grace Roberts Gray (Jake), Ava, MO; Brianna Robertson Phillips (Michael), Ava, MO; and Brittany Robertson (Caleb Ruble), Ava, MO.
Gary was an avid golfer, known as "Zone" on the golf course, where he offered advice quite often to his many friends. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and was just a good guy to be around.
He committed his life to the Lord February 19, 2021. It was a joy to hear him pray!
Gary was loved and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Peggy Trent, Esther Martin and Candy Lane; three brothers, Raymond Robertson, Junior Robertson and Henry Robertson.
Gary is survived by his wife, Regina; his children and their spouses, Jason and Crystal Robertson, and Christina and Mike Roberts; four grandchildren; his siblings, Leonard and Sharon Robertson, Claude and Sherry Robertson, Glen Dale and Teresa Robertson and Dede and Bill Arington and a large precious family.

It was always fun to run into Gary in and about town. I loved his wry sense of humor, which always caught me off-guard. It made me laugh even a day later, when I finally `got it!´. My sympathy and much love to Regina and the Robertson family.
