Gary Sadowski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scott Funeral Home on Jul. 31, 2025.
Gary Andrew Sadowski, 53, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on July 16, 2025.

Born on January 7, 1972, in Amherst, Ohio, Gary was the cherished son of Sandra Jordan (née Sadowski) and Gary Sadowski, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Open Door Christian School in 1990 and later made Louisville, Kentucky, his home for most of his adult life.

Gary was a proud father, a loyal brother, and a friend to many. He is survived by his former wife, Charla Sadowski, with whom he shared the gift of parenthood and his children Joe Sadowski and Grace Sadowski, whom he loved beyond measure and considered his greatest accomplishments in life.

Gary is also survived by his loving sisters: Susan Sadowski; Samantha Foe and her husband, Alan; and his twin sister, Melissa Trapp, and her husband, Chris.

Gary had a big heart, a quick wit, and a way of making you laugh even on your worst day. He never met a stranger-everyone felt like a friend around him. He was a natural-born storyteller, a gifted salesman, a visionary, and a risk-taker-never afraid to step into the unknown. Gary was a man who loved Jesus, and no matter what he faced, the love he had for his kids and the people he cared about shone through.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Brownhelm Cemetery, 3025 N Ridge Rd, Vermilion, OH 44089. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Gary's memory by sharing a laugh with someone or offering a kind word-just as he so often did.
