Obituary of Gary Earl Sims
Gary Earl Sims was born September 29th, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to Earl and Helen (Aker) Sims and he left this world on September 23rd, 2024.
He earned his degree from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and married his wife Susan (Kenyon) in August of 1970 in Orange County, California. Married for 54 years, he and his wife raised their son Kevin, and worked hard at their business Sims Tree Health Specialists, Inc. Gary was passionate about his family, arboriculture, horses, hunting, and history, especially antique cars and tractors. He loved Fishing, but his family would tease him he 'loved catching, not fishing' as he had no patience for just standing around.
His legacy of Fatherly devotion, hard work, and passionate dedication endures in all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Susan, his son Kevin, and his daughter-in-law Nicole.
He is predeceased by his parents Earl and Helen, and his two sisters, Carol and Sandra.
His Graveside Service will be held at
Memorial Park Cemetery
5646 Lincoln Blvd, Oroville, California, 95966
on October 1st, 2024 at 10:00 am
Army Honors will be rendered
A separate Celebration of Life will be held in Southern California at a later date.
Immediately following the service, a repast will be held at the family olive orchard.
