Gary Gene Smith of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his home. He was born on February 28, 1965, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to Wesley Gene Smith and Sybil (Reed) Smith. He was 59 years old. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Smith.
Gary retired from Gerber, Inc. in Fort Smith. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Brian Smith and wife Tiffany of Booneville; a daughter, Ann Marie Lynn Allison and husband Shawn of Booneville; his parents, Wesley and Sybil Smith of Charleston; one sister, Deborah Jones and husband Dennis of Lavaca; two brothers, Michael Smith and wife Barbara and Mark Smith and wife Tracy, both of Lavaca; and nine grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

I´m so sorry to read of Gary´s passing. When he was present at Stafford family events, Gary always was a calming, patient presence. I know he suffered a lot in recent years. I´m confident he´s in a better place today.
