Gary Vickers, 74 of Wichita Falls, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Wichita Falls.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.
Gary was born on January 17, 1951 in Seymour to Doc and Mattie “Bill” Helms Vickers. He was a 1969 graduate of Seymour High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University. Gary worked as the parts manager for Texas Lift for 37 years. He had a love for old cars and the t.v. shows, Pickers and the Big Bang Theory, honey buns and Dr. Peppers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Bill Vickers and his brother, Johnny Vickers.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Chad Vickers of Ft. Worth; his daughter, Mandi Vickers and partner, James Rumfelt and their 4 children, Aidan, Brennin, Cael and Decker Rumfelt all of Wichita Falls; 2 sisters, Barbara Morse of McKinney and Lois and Darrel Lutteringer of Seymour; a brother, Joe and Janice Vickers of Wichita Falls and his sister-in-law, Barbara Vickers of Wichita Falls.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church.
