Canandaigua – Gary A. Wyffels, age 80, passed away peacefully, on Friday, December 6, 2024, surrounded by his family. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Joan (Ouellet) Wyffels; two daughters, Patricia (Shawn) Campbell and Christine (Randy) Rader; four grandchildren, Brennen Schiller, Karli (Mitch) Brown, Rylee Campbell, Jillian Campbell and Taylor Campbell; two sisters, Paulette (Tim) Gerstner and Sharon (Jack) Curran; sister-in-law, June (Richard) Lincoln. He was predeceased by his brother, Butch Wyffels; sister-in-law, Joyce Ostrowski; and brother-in-law, Robert Ouellet.
Gary was born in Canandaigua and was the son of Albert and Betty (Schramm) Wyffels. He worked on the family farm for his entire life, where he raised all different kinds of livestock. Gary enjoyed gardening, muscle cars and woodworking. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 14, from 1-5 pm, at Cheshire Fire Hall, 4285 Rte. 21 South, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Light Hill (comfort care home), 5160 Parrish St., Ext., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.
