Gary Michael Zimpelman

EULESS - Gary M. Zimpelman left this life to join our Lord and Savior with his parents in Eternity on January 23, 2025. He fought a rare neurological disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for over 5 years.
Memorial Service: 12 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Gary was born April 11, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas. Son of the late George and Patricia Zimpelman, he was the youngest of four children. He grew up in Fort Worth and attended Arlington Heights High School. He lived in Dallas for most of his business career, but later returned to his hometown, Fort Worth.
He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a business and finance degree. His career was in private equity, business strategy, and investing.
Gary's family remembers him as a gregarious, charismatic person who would "light up" the room when he visited. He loved the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, always wanting to get the "biggest" Christmas tree. His close network of friends, who were his other family, could assuredly tell and boast many stories about his "shenanigans "both personally and professionally.
He participated and loved sports growing up including baseball and football. He always had a ball in his hand. His family remembers him most in his adult years as an avid and accomplished golf player.
We are grateful to his physicians for their care over many years. Additionally, we are eternally thankful to Seasons Assisted Living for providing a safe home and care during his final months, and to his amazing caregiver for dedication, love, and countless hours of compassionate care.
Gary is survived by his siblings, Belinda Whiddon and her husband, Robert, of Granbury, Gloria Young and her husband, Ronny, of Fort Worth, Larry Zimpelman and his wife, Debbie, of Fort Worth; and cousin, niece, and nephews.
