In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Juanita Cushionberry, Shirley Higgins, Michael "Mike" Franklin, Scott Franklin, and James Franklin.
He is survived by daughters, Ingrid (Vincent) Davis, Jonese (Laura Ellis) Franklin, sons, Albert James Chase, III, Gayle Franklin, Jr., siblings, Steve Franklin, Jerome Franklin, Charles "Buddy" Franklin, William "Billy" Franklin, Catherine Veronica "Ronnie" McPherson, grandchild, Naya Davis, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm July 15, 2025 at Camp Nelson Cemetery Nicholasville, Kentucky with Military Honors. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and leave messages of condolence here on Gayle's tribute wall.
