Gayle E. McIntyre

Gayle Eileen McIntyre, 79, of Windsor Locks, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford on October 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Murray) Seymour. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School and went on to receive her associates degree in bookkeeping.

Gayle performed many different and interesting jobs throughout her working career. She especially enjoyed being a Bank teller at Windsor Locks Savings & Loan and retired as a Customer Service Representative in the national customer support center (NCSC) at Konica Minolta.

Gayle was loving, caring, fierce, independent and giving, always putting family first and had a dedicated and strong work ethic. She always put others before herself. In her free time she liked spending time with her family, watching UConn huskies women's basketball, cooking meals for her boys and taking trips to the casino and beach.

Gayle is survived by her sons, Glenn E. McIntyre and Dwayne McIntyre, her daughter-in-law, Sloane McIntyre, her grandson, Donivan Bruno and granddaughter, Sage McIntyre, her sister, Patty Caruso and her brother David Seymour, her nieces and nephews, Joe Caruso, Thomas Seymour, Kevin Seymour Travis Seymour and his wife Julie, and Heather Seymour and great-nieces and nephews Amber, Alivia, Jack, Lyla, Nora and Jenna.

Gayle's family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14th from 4-7PM at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT 06095. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gayle's memory may be made to the Harold Leever Cancer Center in partnership with Trinity Health Care, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
