Gene Molzof, 77, passed away on November 2, 2025. Born on February 18, 1948, and lived in Preston, Wisconsin. Gene graduated from Fennimore High School in 1966. He moved to Illinois to work at Chrysler in1968 then married the love of his life, Irene Novinska on September 23, 1972. He was a loving father of 2 daughters; Paula and Carrie.
Gene retired from Chrysler after 33 years. He was a devoted member of AA for 33 years, and a loyal Green Bay Packers fan. Gene truly enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching Wisconsin sports (Go Pack Go!), and going to breakfast with friends from AA. He especially enjoyed fishing with his son-in-law, Mike and watching his other son-in-law, Rodney race at the speedway. Gene was extremely proud of his 4 granddaughters and all of their accomplishments. Most of all, Gene enjoyed watching and cheering them on at their sporting and school events.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Irene; their daughters, Paula (Mike) Howard and Carrie (Rodney) Gilley; granddaughters, Hailey & Makayla Howard, Cassidy & Bailey Gilley; brothers & sisters-in-law, Stan (Mary) Novinska, Thelma Washburn, Ken (Cindy) Novinska, Tino (Rita) Novinska, Alice Brown, & LaVern Novinska. Several cousins and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin & Mary Molzof; father & mother in-law, Gene & Erma Novinska; brothers & sisters in-law, Bob & Kay Novinska, Keith & Ann Novinska, John Brown, Allen Peter Novinska, and Tari Novinska.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a cause to be determined. Cremation rites entrusted with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory.
