Wilmer “Gene” Seipp, 85, of Tomahawk, WI. passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Season Hospice in Woodruff. Gene was born January 12, 1940 in Wausau, the son of Wilbur and Anna (Barkley) Seipp. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Reich on August 26, 1961 in Tomahawk and she preceded him in death on April 28, 2024. Gene was a fishing and hunting guide and for 20 plus years was the instructor for the hunters, boaters, and snowmobile safety course. He also was involved in the Backpack program, and for many years was known as the Ol’ Fox.

Surviving Gene is his two foster grandchildren, Breanna and Brandon Kaufman and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Lou, and three siblings.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Krueger-Nimsgern Funeral Home, Tomahawk, with Chaplin Michele Rein officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to time of service.

The family would appreciate any memorial to go to the Tomahawk Backpack Program.
