Geneva Elizabeth Ansley, 78, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Altamaha Healthcare Center in Jesup, Ga. following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 6, 1943 to the late, Emmitt Fields, Sr. and Frances Martin Fields in Jesup, Ga. Geneva was educated in the Wayne County Training School System, in Jesup, Ga. She was a member of Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church where she was involved in Missionary work. Geneva worked in Housekeeping at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL and later, as a CNA at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She loved praising the Lord and listening to Gospel music.
Geneva was preceded in death by both parents, Emmitt Fields, Sr. and Frances Fields; her husband, Frank Ansley; one sister, Lurenia Tiller and four brothers, James Fields, Emmitt Fields, Jr., Emmitt E. Fields and Nathaniel Fields.
Those left to cherish her memories: her three sisters, Joyce Anderson (Charles) of Clayton, NJ, Lauria Thomas (Denzel) of Jesup, GA and Min. Charleen Hodges (Wymon) of Hardeeville, SC; two brothers, Robert Fields, Sr. (Patricia) of Springfield, GA and Charles F. Fields (Sheila) of Riceboro, GA; like a son, Daniel Cromwell; close friends, Adell Stevens and Brenda Gerald of Langford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A walk thru viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine St., Jesup, GA 31598.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 @ 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 1579 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga.
Services will be live streamed for anyone unable to attend services at: royalfuneralhomeinc.com
Everyone planning to attend services are asked to wear your mask to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
