Frances Geneva Cox, lovingly known as Geneva, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024 in Llano, Texas surrounded by her family. Geneva was born at home in Talking Rock, Georgia, on July 23, 1937 to Tom & Ruby Mae (Tillery) Perry. She was a part of a large family consisting of sixteen children raised in the north Georgia Mountains.
She married Dewey Cox, February 18, 1960, they lived in Port Aransas until 1963. They spent years traveling all over the country from job to job until 1972. They bought property in Llano in 1969 and built a "Plane Crash" looking house from odd and end materials left over from Dewey's work as a sheet metal worker.
In 1980 Geneva met Dalmon Simpson and they made their home together in Llano for 35 years; Dalmon passed away in 2016.
Geneva was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook. She worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Atwood for many years in Llano. She enjoyed her friends and dancing at the Rambling Rose until she had grandchildren. Family was the heartbeat of her life; she was very dedicated and involved with each child in the family.
Geneva is survived by her Daughters, Sherry (Don) Simpson, Trecy Johnson, "Favorite" Son, Johnny Napolez, Step-son, John (Lori) Cox; Grandchildren, Cory Whitman, Jada Simpson, Jenny Kelso, Justin Simpson; Great Grandchildren, Laura Mayville, Kyle Rudkin, Coy Kelso, Bradley Whitman, Izzy Whitman; and Great, Great Grandson, Brode Johnson.
The family would like to acknowledge all those with New Century Hospice for the amazing support they dedicated themselves to in helping us over the course of Mom's decline.
Funeral Services will be held September 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel, Llano Texas. Private burial to follow at Huffman Cemetery at Smoothing Iron Mountain.
