Geneva Louise Green

Geneva Louise Green, age 60 of Spencer, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 7:05 A.M. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her home. She was born in Bloomington on June 13, 1962, the daughter of Johnie William and Mildred (Cain) Freeman.
Geneva was a 1980 graduate of Owen Valley High School. She married the love of her life on March 22, 1980, Matthew A. Green, and they were married forty-two years. Throughout the years she worked at Owen Valley Middle School, the Spencer Public Library, Spencer Evening World in the graphics department, was an agent for the Indianapolis Star, along with her husband, managing the paper carriers for Owen and Putnam County. Geneva and Matthew formerly owned Valley Girls Women"s Fitness Center, and currently own PackRats Resale and Consignment Shop in Spencer.
She was a member of the Spencer First Church of the Nazarene and the Spencer Chamber Chamber of Commerce.
Geneva enjoyed going to the beach and was recently able to go for her wedding anniversary with her family in March, baking, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband; her mother; one son, Jacob Matthew Green, and wife Christina, of Bloomington; a daughter, Mikala Dawn Green of Spencer; three brothers, Mike Freeman, Andy Freeman, and Larry Freeman; and three sisters, Rhonda Arthur, Pat Gunderman, and Loretta Patton.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Service will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 22, 2022, with Rev. Joey Brummett officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 4 P.M. until the time of service.
