Geneva Alice Simes, 82 of Micco FL, passed away on April 2, 2024 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach FL.
She was born in Rising Fawn, GA to Henry Edward Morgan and Alice Williams Morgan. Her family moved to Fellsmere, FL in 1954.
She married Carroll Simes in 1959, they shared 63 happy years of marriage until his death in 2022.
Geneva was the Matriarch of her family. She worked at Dales Manufacturing in Wabasso for a brief period of time.
Jenny worked alongside her husband, Carroll at Simes Construction beginning 1970 until retirement. They built custom homes in Sebastian, Vero Beach and Brevard County over 40 years.
Her passion in life was caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She provided daycare from 1985 until March 2024.
Jenny enjoyed sewing all her life. She loved all crafts, especially ceramics and scrapbooking with family and friends at Salvation Army Scrapbooking Sisters.
Jenny is survived by daughter, Debbie (JD) Bauer of Micco FL; son Scott (Sandy) Simes of Sebastian, FL; granddaughters, Brittany (Shelden) Awtrey, Lindsay (Todd Hingle) Bauer, Crystal Simes, Samantha Simes and grandson, Christopher Simes. Great-granddaughters, Evelyn Awtrey and Sophia Dunaj; great-grandson, Maverick Awtrey.
She is also survived by her sister, Barbara (Tom) Rettemnier of Vero Beach FL; brother Pat Morgan, of Sebastian FL. Many wonderful, loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Alice Morgan; sisters, Velma Heath, Kathleen Stone, Willie Mae Mason and Martha Sue Anderson; brothers, Sam Morgan, JP Morgan, Charlie Morgan and Jimmy Morgan.
In Lieu of flower memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 2655 Fifth St, Vero Beach, FL 32962 or Shiloh Youth Ranch, 10655 Roseland Road, Sebastian, FL 32958.
