Genevieve "Jeanne" Ann Young, nee McShane, age 77, of Villa Park, Illinois. Beloved wife of the late Everett "Rob" Harold Young, Jr.; loving mother of Shane, Cary (Janet), and Mairin (Andrew Kouba); cherished grandmother of Bailey, Quinn, and Charlotte; dear daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth "Betty" McShane; fond sister of the late Thomas McShane; dear aunt and friend to many.
Growing up in Glen Ellyn, IL, Jeanne attended St. Petronille Catholic Grade School and then later St. Francis High School. She met the love of her life, her "hunny" Rob, and got married in 1969. She was an avid volunteer all her life and taught CCD at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church for many years. She was extremely thoughtful and generous, often mailing cards to friends and donating to multiple charities. A devoted fan, she loved cheering for her beloved Cubs and Sox, with Louis Aparicio being her hero. She found her truest calling as a grandmother, showering her grandchildren with unconditional love, wisdom, and endless hugs. She will be so missed!
