Geoffrey “Mortis” W. Weinreis, age 68, of Reedsville, passed away on November 19, 2025.
Geoff, or “Mort” as most people knew him by, was born on June 26, 1957 in Chilton, son of the late Regobert & Dorothy (Buechel) Weinreis. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1976. On May 28, 1983, he married Debra Dresang at St. Mary Catholic Church in Reedsville. Geoff worked in water and sanitation for many years in numerous communities. He retired from MCO, working in Brillion, Stockbridge, Lomira, and Mount Calvary. He also drove school bus for Brandt’s and Milk Truck for Reinemann/Sievert. Throughout his life, he always liked to help others. He was a volunteer firefighter in Forest Junction and Reedsville, he would help his neighbors and friends, and always did things for his family. Mort was a party animal, always up for a bon fire or bean bags, cooking out, camping in his younger years, having a good time. He was very particular and was always “putzing” around. He spent a lot of his retirement woodworking and always loved spending time with his family.
