Scott L. Rector, age 47, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at his home. Scott was born in Green Bay, WI, on May 24, 1978, to the late Lawrence and Suzanne (Klarner) Rector.
Scott was a 1997 graduate of Brillion High School in Brillion, WI. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Army, receiving his honorable discharge after six years. Scott later entered the workforce as a transportation analyst working in various cities and states. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping, and was an avid Cubs and Packers fan. Scott cherished time spent with his family and was truly honored to care for his uncle, Tom Buffington, over the last year.
Survivors include his son, Evan Rector, of Clarksville, TN; his friend and mother of his son, Sharon Krope, also of Clarksville, TN; his sisters, Tanya Host and Jill Rector, both of Green Bay, WI; and his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Aubrey, Cayden, Kamryn, Scotlynn, and Austin. Scott was further survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Suzie; his paternal and maternal grandparents, Harry Rector and Carol Buffington, and Jerry and Carol Klarner; and his aunt, Julie Klarner.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the VFW in Green Bay, WI, located at 3323 Kewaunee Road from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
