Roger Rudolph Krahn, 84, Maple Grove, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Aurora Hospital, Green Bay. He was born June 28, 1941, in Green Bay to the late Alvin and Elsie (Sitzman) Krahn.
Roger graduated from Brillion High School in 1959. After graduating from high school, Roger worked at Brillion Iron Works for ten years, while helping on the family farm.
On March 24, 1962, he was united in marriage to Judith Borchardt at Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside.
In 1971 Roger and Judith bought the family farm. Together they grew the 40-cow herd to 300 cows before selling them in 2022.
In his younger years, Roger served his church at Zion on School Board, Board of Trustees, and Board of Stewardship. Roger enjoyed Friday night bowling, playing cards with family and friends, fishing with friends "up north", trips to Vegas and Reno, cruises to Hawaii, Alaska, and the Caribbean, and bus trips with "Farmers on the Bum."
He is survived by his wife Judy, their children, Keith Krahn, Tammy (Dan) Otto, and Tim (Hilde) Krahn. Grandchildren; Shelby (Sam) Knutson, Levi Otto, Treyton, Paxton, Sophia, and Jamison Krahn. His sisters; Dorothy Zenke, Karen Kiekhaefer, and Carol (Gene) Obry. Sisters-in-law; Betty (Tom) Jones, Janice Shusta, Kathy Baierl, Ruth Borchardt, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Elsie, his in-laws Herbert and Mildred Borchardt. Siblings and spouses; Howard (JoAnn) Krahn, Edward Borchardt, Gerald Kiekhaefer, Ron Zenke and Susie Krahn. In-laws and spouses; Marjorie (Royal) Taylor, David Borchardt, Norbert Guyette, David Dunlop, Dan Froding, Don Shusta, and Clarence Baierl.
Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church 8378 Cty Rd W, Wayside on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM until time of service at 11:00AM, with Pastor Kyle Wangelin officiating.
Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison, is assisting the family.
