George Barrick Obituary

George "Ed" Edward Barrick

GARDNERS - George "Ed" Edward Barrick, 66, of Gardners, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 19, 2025.

Ed was a beloved son of Janet (née Riley) Barrick; brother to Darrel (Liz) and Robbie (Janice); and uncle to Dustin, Austin, Aaron, Toby, Caden, Michael, Michelle, Tyler, Taylor, and Calvin Barrick; and 11 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Barrick and his brothers, Danny (Tara), Doug (Susan), and Chip (Audrey) Barrick.

Ed was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his loyal sidekick: Josie. Although Ed was not a man of many words, he was known for his sense of humor and could be counted on for a witty comment at the perfect moment. He was often found cheering on his Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Ed also enjoyed getting outside as much as possible, hunting and fishing either on his own or with one of his nephews or his niece.

A viewing and service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home at 630 S Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013. Visitation with the family will begin at 2 p.m. and the service will begin at 3 p.m. EwingBrothers.com.
