George Adam Beitler, III, of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024 at the age of 77. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Edna Beitler. Skippy, as he was affectionately known, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, PA in 1964. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Nickey (Holt) for 47 years until her death in 2012. In addition to his wife, George was predeceased by this brother-in-law, John Gilbert, and beloved niece, Denise Stanley.
After graduating high school, George began his lifelong career at USX Steelworks in the Sheet and Tin Accounting Department and was proud of the work he accomplished as Treasurer of the Local 5092 Union. He then embarked on a new career with the State of New Jersey before his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching his sons' baseball teams.
George was known for his outgoing personality and zest for life and was always ready for a good time. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, going out for a good meal, and attending this grandchildren's sports and activities.
George is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael (Joanna), and Steven (Danielle) Beitler, his loving sisters, Adrienne (Ronnie) Kaliszewski, Yvonne Gilbert, and Diane (Joby) Thompson. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Ayla, Joseph, Bryce, Evelyn and Jessica as well as several nieces, cousins, and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.
At George's request, there will be no services held at this time. A Life Celebration will be held for close friends and family at a time to be determined.
