Helen M. Baines, 68, of Croydon, PA, passed away peacefully in her family home on May 12, 2025.
Helen's warm smile, adventurous spirit, and deep love for musicals, concerts, and theater will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She was born on September 3, 1956, the youngest of two children to Ken and Mary Baines. A proud graduate of Delhaas High School in 1974. Helen often reminisced about her joyful childhood and the many vacations she cherished-especially her trips to California and Hawaii which she fondly recalled skipping school for.
Helen had a passion for camping, where she found joy in spending time with cherished friends, playing games, and gathering around the campfire. Her enthusiasm for adventure made her the first to plan a trip, and she delighted in cruising alongside her sister and dear friends. She was fiercely loved by all who crossed her path, and her vibrant presence will be profoundly missed.
Helen leaves behind her husband, Robert Parr, and her beloved family: her sister Sharyn (Gil), her daughter Crystel and son-in-law Denvir, her grandson Jack, her daughter Jenea (Turner) and son-in-law Wayne Jr., grandsons Wayne III (Marissa), Alex, Xavier, granddaughter Amelia (Tom), and her great-grandchildren Scarlette, Violet, and Wayne IV. Her niece and nephew Frank & Julie and family. She also leaves behind a multitude of friends who were touched by her generosity and kind heart. Helen's legacy of love and joy will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her.
To honor Helen's memory, her family kindly requests donations to the Glioblastoma Foundation in her name, continuing her hope for a cure. At this time there are no services planned.
Rest in peace, Helen. Your love and light will forever remain in our hearts. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Helen M. Baines, please visit our Tree Store.
