Lloyd H. Baines, 97, of Anderson, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 03, 2025, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson, Indiana. He was born on November 14, 1927, to Alvin and Edith Baines (Armstrong) in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. Lloyd proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He found the love of life, Christean (Taylor) while training in Chicago, Illinois. The two married soon after and relocated to Anderson, Indiana, where they started their family of one daughter and three sons. He worked at Howe Fire in Anderson and retired from Container Corporation to open the Rose Triangle Tavern in Anderson. He enjoyed NFL Football, spending time with his family and friends, and liked doing woodworking in the garage making birdhouses. He attended the East 38th Street Free Will Baptist Church in Anderson. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Vicki; daughter, Karen Johns (Skip) of Anderson, Indiana; sons, Allen Baines of Freeport, Texas and Terry Baines (Shawn Marie) of Gainesville, Georgia; granddaughters, Shonna Bilbrey (Tony), Shelby Underwood (Duane), and Kelly Haynes (John); grandson, Kevin Baines (Dawn), and many great-granddaughters and great-grandsons, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Christean; son, Ricky; grandson, David Wright; brother, William of Muskogee, Oklahoma; sisters, Lucille and Lois of Shippenville, Pennsylvania, as well as of numerous good friends and dog, Patch. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the caregivers at Bethany Pointe and his church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the service starting at 11:30 a.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, with Reverend Mark W. Sluss of the East 38th Street Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial and committal service, with military honors, will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park. www.LooseCares.com
