George Elliott Bodoh

George Elliott Bodoh, age 85, formerly of Springfield, Illinois passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was born on August 19, 1939, to the late Joseph and Eva Bodoh. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana, in 1957, and Miami University in 1961, where he was a member and president of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and the U.S. Navy Reserves. He is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne, whom he met at Miami University and they were married on October 10, 1964. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jane Barton; niece, Laura Settlemire; nephew, Rex Settlemire; and various cousins in Wisconsin. George loved life and expressed it through his great sense of humor. He loved the water and his boats and his Golden Retrievers. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
