George (June) Bruce, Jr., 77, of Louisa VA, departed this life peacefully on March 31, 2021 at The University of Virginia Hospital. He was born on May 17,1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Bruce Sr. and Margaret Bruce; brothers, Robert Bruce and Kelly Boiling and his beloved son, Darrington Bruce.
George was a fun, kindhearted and loving person that enjoyed cooking and gardening.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his soulmate, Vanessa Robinson of Louisa; his children, Darry (Rev. Margo) Bruce of Palmyra, Kimbley (Carlton) Morton of Palmyra, Continia (Hugh) Elliott of Cary NC, Ivan Nicholas Richmond, VA; bonus children, Shawn Robinson of Henrico, VA and Sherita Robinson of Louisa, VA; his sisters, Elaine Thomas, Gwen (Clarence) Jackson, Gail (Calvin) Conner, all of Palmyra and Patricia Bruce of Seattle WA; his brothers, Carl Jackson and Calvin (Barbara) Bruce of Palmyra, Glen Bruce and Elliott (Violette) Bolling of Charlottesville; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a devoted friend, Joe Whalen and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
A public viewing will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. in the Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, For Union. A service will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 1 pm in The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Fork Union VA.
Due to COVID-19, services will be attended by immediate family only with Pastor Margo Bruce, eulogist. The interment will follow at Jackson family cemetery Franklin Lane, Palmyra Va. There will not be a repast.
