George L. Cavanaugh

Mr. George L. Cavanaugh, of Weymouth, passed away on December 25, 2023.
Beloved husband of the late Carol A. (Lyman) Cavanaugh.
Loving father of Kathleen French and her late husband Mark, of Weymouth, Michael Cavanaugh and his wife, Michelle, of Pembroke, George "Larry" Cavanaugh and his wife, Katie Collins of Weymouth, John "Jack" Cavanaugh of Abington, Marianne Cavanaugh-French and her husband, Philip of Halifax, the late Patricia Cavanaugh, and Christina "Tina" Fink of Orange. Brother of Richard Cavanaugh and his wife, Diana, of Weymouth, and Patricia Whitehead and her late husband, Edward, of Weymouth.
Cherished Papa and Grampa to 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Blessed by his sisters- and brothers-in-law as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, January 2nd, from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 11 am on Wednesday, January 3rd, prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 12 PM. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
