George Roy "G.R." Clark, Jr., 92, of Waterloo, and husband of Barbara Eloise Fields Clark, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Emerald Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Care in Greenwood.

Born in Greenwood on September 24, 1932, he was the son of the late George Roy Clark, Sr. and Lucy Thelma Rawls Clark. Beginning his career as a Master Electrician and eventually owning his own business, Clark's Electric, his expertise and leadership led him to serve as the Building and Zoning Director for Osceola County, Florida, where he retired after many years of dedicated service. A proud veteran, G.R. served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict, where he was a blimp pilot. He was an amateur radio operator where he was an avid Ham Radio enthusiast, creating his own "Ham Shack" and connecting with people from all over the world. He was a former Mason, loved to "tinker with everything," and had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his free time hunting and fishing. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for riding motorcycles, a passion he enjoyed throughout his life.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his children, Rudy Clark (Patsy), Rick Clark (Reene), Ronnie Clark (Cathy), Rusty Clark (Bonnie), Renee Dennin (John), and Robyn Robertson (Buster); 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by siblings, Manley Clark, Fred Clark, Winifred Gregory, and Norma Thompson.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, 1:00 PM at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Agape Hospice and Emerald Gardens for their compassionate care during G.R.'s final months.
