George S. Collinson, age 90, of Plymouth Meeting, PA, formerly of Willow Grove, PA and Seaford, DE, passed away on August 20, 2025 surrounded by his family.

George was an extraordinary man who lived a full life. There was virtually nothing he could not fix or build from scratch. He and Janet had the adventure of a lifetime when they sold the family homestead and traveled the country in their motor home for five years. They saw most of the US and met numerous people they counted as friends.

When they settled in Delaware, they took on the task of remodeling the home they lived in together until Janet's passing in 2019. Together they updated their home and made countless woodworking projects they gave as gifts to friends and family. So many corkboards and Dirty Board games scattered along the east coast…all signed and dated!

George stayed in his home and maintained it himself until last year when he moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to family. This last year he spent many happy hours visiting with friends and family.

George is predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years, Janet (nee Short) Collinson, as well as his parents, George and Dorothy Collinson, and his sister, Joy Jamieson.

He is survived by his children: Brent (Kristine) Collinson, Kimberly (Jack) Smart, Randi Collinson, Sandra (Michael) Soltoff, Lois (Steve) Thompson, and Robin (Chris) Campoli. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Brent Collinson Jr., Jeremy (Hayley) Collinson, Coree (Jason) Paddock, Lindsay (Sean) Dewey, Matthew (Alonya) Collinson, Evan (Sumair) Soltoff, Dana (Steve) McManus, Ryan Campoli, Caitlyn Thompson, and Jessica Thompson. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, George (Joan) Short, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Life Celebration for George on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Craft-Givnish Funeral Home located at 1801 Old York Rd in Abington, PA. Memorial service to immediately follow, interment is private.
