George Howard Craig, 66 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014. He was born on February 15, 1948, in Independence, Louisiana to Bobby Gene and Christina Craig. George enjoyed life and loved being a gunsmith, woodworking, reading, acrylic painting and music but especially loved spending time with his family. George is survived by his loving wife forever and always, Anita Anglin Craig, his children, Kathleen Craig Ottwell and her spouse Nicole Ottwell, Kay Craig May and her husband Steven May, Jr., Scott Craig and his wife Lori Craig, and Sherry Ann Craig and her fiancée Tommy Moyer, his grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Craig Lebron and her spouse Victoria, Emily Christina Craig McDowel, Kellie Polk, Amanda Polk, Nathan May, Eva Craig, Hannah Craig, Logan Moyer and Tucker Moyer, his great-granddaughter, Ella Sophia Lebron, his brothers, Bobby Craig and his wife Brenda and Joe Craig and his wife Cathy, his sister, Belinda Johnson and her husband Rodney, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Bobby Gene and Christina Craig. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating George's Life will immediately follow visitation at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers the family would like all memorial donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 in George's memory.
