Obituary For George J. Duffy Jr.

Obituary for George J. Duffy Jr. Passed away peacefully on 9/7/2025 in the hospital with family by his side. He was 70 years old. George struggled with some health issues for the past couple of years. in October of 2024 George after a complication with his diabetes he had his left leg amputated below the knee. George began intense physical therapy at his residence at CareOne Weymouth, where his goal was to get back out on his own. George took a fall out of his wheel chair on 8/20/25 which was the result of 2 strokes. He was unable to recover after 18 days in the SNICU at Boston Medical Center ( Boston City), where he was born on January 2, 1955.George was the son of the late George and Lorraine Duffy (Beattie) He leaves behind his children, Benjamin Duffy of Marshfield, Molly b. Duffy Palmer and her husband Justin of Marshfield Regan Duffy of Wakefield, Emma Duffy and her fiancé Kevin of California, and Quin Duffy and his partner Alexis of Plympton. George had 2 grandchildren Liam and Mae-Kathrine. George also leaves behind 6 Brothers & Sisters, Paul of Boston, Alan and his wife Camilla of Norwood, Reda of Rockland, David and his wife Kathy of Maryland, Christine and her husband Bob of Florida, predeceased by Bryan of Nebraska, and last but not least his baby sister Maureen and her wife Carol. George also leaves several nieces and nephews
