George M. Fuchs, a resident of the Cherrywood section of Gloucester Township, NJ since 1975, formerly of Beechhurst, NY, passed away on September 2, 2022, at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Noreen E. Fuchs (nee Jackson) for 50 years. Devoted father of George L. Fuchs of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Kristen T. Fuchs (Dan Sharp) of Lindenwold, NJ. Dear brother of Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Selvaggi (Michael) of SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
George was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Parish, where he belonged to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, served as an Usher, and previously served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was an active Charter Member of the K of C Holy Crusaders Council # 9193 where he earned the title of 3rd Degree and held the position of financial secretary for twenty years. He earned his 4th Degree with Bishop Schad K of C Assembly # 2843. He greatly enjoyed being a member of Hider Lane Seniors and Our Lady of Hope Seniors. He travelled the world fishing. He was also a passionate fan of both the Eagles and Phillies.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, at Our Lady of Hope Parish/ St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012, where his Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum, Chews Landing, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's name to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Our Lady of Hope Parish, 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012, or to Gift of Life Organ Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd St., Phila., PA 19123.
