George W. Hawk

George W. Hawk, 85 of White, PA went to his heavenly home on Saturday August 23, 2025. George was born in Scottdale on September 19, 1939. He was the son of the late Arthur and Nora Layman Hawk. George was the last surviving member of his family. George graduated form Scottdale High School. After graduation, George joined the military in the US Army. After several years of service, George started an electrical career in Baltimore, Maryland. George then was a lineman for 32 years for West Penn Power, before retiring. George shared 62 wonderful years with the love of his life, Connie. They celebrated a life of happiness and true love of being best friends. George was a good old mountain man. He loved the outdoors and especially hunting. He loved the simple things in life. George enjoyed his farm and his animals. His special animal was his donkey, Jose, who loved George feeding him peppermint candy. George was a lifetime member of the Breakneck Church of God. George was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Nora Hawk and sisters, Jean Ann Peperak and Adeline Cumberland. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families and two brothers-in-law, Franklin Lee Bradley and Clarence Bradley. Family and friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, PA on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. the hour of services with Rev. Joseph Wingrove, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Breakneck Church of God, 782 Breakneck Road, Connellsville, PA 15425 in memory of George W. Hawk.
